The fight over the plains drags onwards. A second blight of Crooked has made their way in to replace those that had already been overwhelmed, so the fight continues to rage between the beastfolk, the humans, and the Crooked.
Additionally, the humans are getting more aggressive, and only through the assistance of his mage-mates have Koda and his warband avoided notice thus far. But that luck will eventually wear out and his braves numbers are thinning fast despite their best efforts.
Now, though, Koda has even more weighing on him. Not only is he dealing with becoming a father, as one of his wives has finally conceived, but in addition to it all, Thera’s sister by bond is finally aware of her survival and pressing down on him for details.
With threats all around him, and even more precious things to protect, what is Koda to do? Does he continue to fight against rapidly increasing odds, or is there another path that might lead to a better future for his people?
